Sonia Johnson started her real estate career in 2000. She has always kept her eye on the market and enjoyed discussing current market trends with friends and family; now, she takes great pride in helping people determine and meet their real estate needs.

Johnson has worked with customers in a sales or marketing capacity since she was 14 years old. She attended New Hampshire College while living in southern New Hampshire working toward a marketing degree while employed at Digital Equipment Corporation. After moving to Maine and taking time off to raise her children, they then moved to Massachusetts in 1996, when her husband’s job relocated. They handpicked this area because they enjoy living in a coastal town having easy access to the ocean. “The North Shore seemed to have it all: great schools, beautiful beaches, quaint downtown areas, a train into Boston and a wonderful sense of community,” says Johnson.

Johnson can share with customers her experiences with building two separate homes in Ipswich. Her current home is on Great Neck where she learned first hand the in-depth process of dealing with zoning and septic issues.

Sonia volunteers as Vice President of the Association of Great Neck where she helps organize social events and works towards preservation of the surrounding land. She is also Director of Foster care for the Ipswich Humane Group where she manages the care of pregnant cats and abandoned kittens. She volunteers in the schools, at church and the local food pantry. When Sonia has free time she enjoys spending time with her family traveling, boating, kayaking, snow shoeing, cross-county skiing, eating out, sewing, painting and scrap booking.

Being experienced in all areas of residential real estate, along with being organized and professional with good communication skills has contributed to Sonia’s success in and around the community.
