Wenham Country Club, Wenham, MA

One hundred years ago the popularity of golf was expanding on both sides of the Atlantic.  Caught up in this new found passion for the game were a handful of teenagers from Wenham, Massachusetts.  Having caddied at Myopia Golf Club in the neighboring town of Hamilton, they sought a place of their own to play and practice golf.  Thus began in 1897 the construction of a series of golf holes on land known as "Tarr's pasture."

Ould Newbury Golf Course, Newbury, MA

Ould Newbury Golf Club, a nine hole semi-private club, located on Rte 1 in Newbury, Massachusetts, was officially opened for play on Labor Day, September 4, 1916.
