Bretton Woods is Truly Family Friendly!

Visit this year, and find out why Ski Magazine readers have once again voted Bretton Woods Number One for Family Programs in New Hampshire - and Top 5 in North America!

Expanded Family Center
With a ranking of #1 in NH and #2 in the East for family programs, the Family Center, home of the Hobbits Ski & Snowboard School and Babes in the Woods Nursery, will be expanded this fall to accommodate the growing demand for these popular programs. We’ll also add increased Hobbits staff, with the goal of offering the best possible learn to ski experience for your children. And if you happen to forget goggles or mittens on the kitchen table, TreeTop Sports is coming to the rescue with last minute essentials for a comfortable day in the snow, now right at the Family Center. But even with the new space, we expect these popular programs to sell out often, so reserve early!

West Mountain BBQ
For a scenic lunch or quick snack at the top of West Mountain, we’ll be offering a barbecue menu at the Cog Railway train car that’s located just off the top off the West Mountain Quad. Take in the stunning views and refuel for a fabulous day on the sunny slopes of BW.

Marshmallows at the Gazebo
At the entrance to the BW base lodge, stay warm and toasty next to the roaring fire in the covered gazebo as you wait for your shuttle ride back to the Hotel or condo. We’ll have complimentary marshmallows to roast while you warm up!

Sugar Shack
The sugar shack is a common site throughout New Hampshire, and Sugar on Snow is sure to become a favorite of Bretton Woods skiers and riders. Visit the Sugar Shack, in the old Granny's Grits building at the top of the Zephyr, and belly up to a wooden trough packed with fresh, white snow. The maple taffy is simply prepared by pouring hot maple syrup on the snow, letting it harden and then rolling it onto a Popsicle stick. This treat will give you the sugar hit needed for an extra run or two at the end of the day!

Terrain Park Upgrades
New sound system, lights and music on the Lumberyard Terrain Park. Friday Night Freestyle Frenzy: People of all ages, riders and skiers alike, are welcome to come on down and show off.
