Construction of the Alexander Knight House, a live, on-going exhibit recreating a First Period, timber-frame house, has begun! State Senator Bruce Tarr was on hand to assist with ground breaking as a large crowd gathered this past weekend. Windhill's very own, Shawn Cayer, donated the boulders from his recent excavation of another familiar historical site in town, the old Smoke Shop at 16 Market Street. The boulders will be used as the base for the root cellar and the chimney foundation. "We feel this is a significant contribution and a good omen. We are proud to be a permanent part of the project. Building solid foundations is what we do best!", stated Shawn Cayer, owner of Windhill Realty. For more information log onto www.ipswichknighthouse.org.
