Mission accomplished! It took three of us to fill up Lynn Gibbs' station wagon with a huge food donation. She drove away minutes ago with all the loot, headed directly to the pantry to unload. She had other stops planned but there wasn't enough room! During times like these with the economy the way it is, it overwhelms me to see such generosity and good will. We should all be very proud to be part of a community that comes through even during the toughest of times. Not only did we receive food items, but monetary donations from the community, very impressive. Thanks Ipswich Food Pantry, Lynn Gibbs and all your volunteers for keeping it going. Thanks team Windhill for your contributions of money, time and muscle (those cans are heavy)!
We still have our donation box and will continue to serve as a drop off for non perishable items for the Ipswich Food Pantry. Come on down! The pantry has decided to be open to it's clients on Tuesday the 22nd so there's still time to donate and get the goods in the hands of those who need it for Christmas!
