I asked Shari how she got started. "In late 2008, with so many other people, I was laid off. But I was actually quite relieved when it happened. I'd been tossing around the idea of opening a dog daycare center for some time, and this was just the nudge I needed to leave the comfort and security of my 20 year career as a software engineer. Switching from software development to dog daycare may seem like quite a leap, but it was actually just a return to where I came from. My mother was a dog trainer and breeder of Champion Dobermans, and throughout high school I worked as a full-time farm hand on our family farm. I'd been planning the 'ultimate' dog daycare center in my head, and I knew my engineering skills would make it all possible."
What makes The Playful Pack unique? The Playful Pack is a 4,000 square-foot, free-range facility featuring clean, turf-covered yards, climate-controlled indoor play areas, and webcams providing 24/7 LIVE coverage of every play area.
