Boston Globe reports on the strong rental market and the truth about how expensive it really is to rent on the North Shore right now. It is true. We are experiencing low inventory in homes for sale AND for rent. The rental market is quite brisk, with high rents easy for landlords to achieve. I've always been a strong believer in home-ownership, pride in being rooted in a community, investing in your own future. So I find myself somewhat mystified, although understanding of the upward trend in renting. I still have to ask myself, do these folks realize the actual cost comparison of renting versus owning?
