Downtown Ipswich Trick or Treat was a huge success! I estimate we had a record number of kids and attribute that to the nice weather, the impending hurricane and the buzz created by the pole decorating contest. The Chamber of Commerce reports that hundreds of people voted at the ballot station and the winner of the pole decorating contest was Salon36, who decorated with a white mummy on Market Street as a tribute to the fight for breast cancer. A check for $250 will be donated, by the chamber, to the Ipswich High School Scholarship Fund in the name of Salon36 ! Congratulations to our neighbors at Salon 36 and thanks everyone for coming out and supporting local businesses!
