15 or a 30 Year Mortgage?

1530mortgage Have you ever received a solicitation offering you big savings for switching to a 15-year mortgage or a bi-monthly payment plan? I've personally weighed the pros and cons and opted to simply keep my 30-year plan but pay down the principal by adding to my monthly payment. This way, I'm not locked into a payment that could potentially strain my finances.
