The first annual Ipswich's Favorite Home Art Contest was a blast! Children in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade within the Ipswich Elementary schools turned out over 30 masterpieces. The idea was crafted around our passion for the diversity of our new and old homes here in town and the desire to bring awareness to the variety of architecture throughout our community. The kids delivered and we were more than impressed!
First place winner, Brigid Carovillano (a first grader!) took home first prize; a $300 camp scholarship and art supplies, Jaclyn Dziadose won second place a prize worth $200 and third place went to Noah Thomas $100. Judging was extremely difficult because every entry demonstrated quality work and tremendous effort. Everyone got a cool one-of-a-kind t-shirt and the kids seemed more excited about those! The Art Show/Open House took place here at our office on Saturday, May 17th and kids and parents got to see all the masterpieces, enjoy some refreshments and we got to meet the artists. One visitor said, "Who's idea was this? This is genius!" Then turned to his grandchild and said, "I'm going to tell you someday just how genius this is!"
Feedback from the community was extremely positive and enthusiastic. Some are already looking forward to next year's contest! We are grateful to belong to such an amazing community and would like to extend further appreciation to Cummings Architects and Mortgage Master, Inc. co-sponsoring this event.
Enjoy the photos! And thank you to all who participated and made this a great event!
